Cristallo Pools designs and builds custom gunite swimming pools across Palm Beach Gardens, from the golf-course homes of BallenIsles and PGA National off PGA Boulevard to the waterfront estates of Frenchman's Creek east of Alternate A1A. We are a licensed Florida pool contractor (CPC1458452, CBC 1255924) and a 2025 PHTA International Award winner, and we carry the full project from one place: the design, your community's architectural review, the City of Palm Beach Gardens permit, and the build.
Communities we build in across Palm Beach Gardens
Most of our Palm Beach Gardens work sits inside gated golf and waterfront communities, each with its own architectural review board and its own entrance off a different road. We have completed real projects in these, so we know what each board expects before we submit.
BallenIsles
Modern and Mediterranean pools built right on the golf course, including new backyards backing the BallenIsles fairways.
PGA National
Custom pool and backyard concepts for homes around the PGA National resort community.
Mirasol
Custom pools and outdoor living for homes in the Country Club at Mirasol.
Frenchman's Creek
A large infinity pool and waterfront backyard inside the Frenchman's Creek Beach and Country Club.
Frenchman's Reserve
Custom pool and backyard work in the Arnold Palmer Signature golf community.
Alton
Back-to-back new custom pools in the newer Alton community.
If your community is not listed here, we most likely still build there. We confirm the specifics for your address in the consultation.
Building a pool in Palm Beach Gardens: what is actually involved
Palm Beach Gardens adds steps a generic pool job does not, and getting them right up front is what keeps a project on schedule.
Architectural review
BallenIsles, PGA National, Frenchman's Creek, and Mirasol each run a board that reviews your pool and backyard design before any city permit. They look at setbacks, deck materials, screen enclosure style, and sightlines to the course or the water. We design to those standards and prepare the submittal.
City of Palm Beach Gardens Building Division
Palm Beach Gardens is incorporated, so your permit runs through the City Building Division at 10500 N Military Trail, not Palm Beach County. The pool is a primary permit, the safety barrier must meet the Florida Building Code, and a Notice of Commencement is recorded before the first inspection. We pull the permit and manage the inspections.
Sandy soil, high water table
Across this part of northern Palm Beach County the soil is sandy and the water table sits high, so the shell needs the right steel schedule and hydrostatic relief engineered in from the start.
Built for year-round use
Strong sun, humidity, and a year-round swim season. Gunite holds up to that use, and your interior finish choice changes how long the surface lasts.
What we build
Custom pool construction is the core of a broader outdoor-living service. We build in custom gunite only, never fiberglass or vinyl, so the pool is shaped to your lot and your design. Alongside the pool we build spas, water features, sun shelves, decking, screen enclosures, and the surrounding hardscape as one project. You can see the full service on our New Pool Construction page.

What a custom pool costs in Palm Beach Gardens
Priced against your design, not a flat sheet
A custom gunite pool moves with size and depth, a spa and water features, the interior finish level, the amount and type of decking, the screen enclosure, and site access in gated communities. Because no two builds are the same, the most useful next step is a real number against your own design. Call us or request a consultation, and we will walk through the cost drivers and give you a figure you can plan around.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need architectural review board approval for a pool in my community?
If you live in a gated community such as BallenIsles, PGA National, Frenchman's Creek, or Mirasol, yes. The board reviews the pool and backyard design before the city issues a permit. We design to your community's standards and handle the submittal.
Who issues the pool permit in Palm Beach Gardens?
The City of Palm Beach Gardens Building Division at 10500 N Military Trail, because the city is incorporated and does not permit through Palm Beach County. The pool is a primary permit, the barrier must meet the Florida Building Code, and we manage the structural, electrical, and final inspections.
Do you build fiberglass or vinyl pools?
No. We build custom gunite pools only, which is what allows the pool to be designed to your home and lot rather than fit to a fixed shell.
How long does a custom pool take to build?
Most custom gunite builds run several months from approved design to startup, depending on size, the community review, the permit, and weather. We give a real schedule at the design stage.
What drives the cost of a custom pool here?
Size and depth, a spa and water features, the interior finish, decking, and the screen enclosure are the main drivers, along with site access in gated communities. We quote against your design, not a flat rate.
Do you build in my Palm Beach Gardens community?
We build throughout Palm Beach Gardens and have completed projects in several of its gated communities. If yours is not one we name, we most likely still serve it, and we confirm the specifics in the consultation.
Can you handle the screen enclosure and deck too?
Yes. We design and build the pool, deck, screen enclosure, water features, lighting, and surrounding outdoor living space as one project.
Why gunite for Palm Beach Gardens?
Gunite stands up to year-round use, sun, and humidity, and it lets us engineer the shell for the sandy soil and high water table here. It is also the only material that supports a fully custom shape.
